When registering your child for a summer sport camp, choose the grade they will be entering in the fall. 

 
The Civil Air Patrol is the official Auxiliary for the USAF. CAP is charged to conduct three ongoing missions. Best known are our search and rescue/disaster relief missions, but youth education and development (the cadet program), and aerospace education for the community at large are also integral parts of our charter. OPEN MEMBERSHIP Year-Round: community members ages 12 - 100+ yrs are welcome to attend three meetings and apply.

Is your child struggling to learn how to ride their bike? Through step by step, engaging activities we'll help them with their cycling. Our kid-friendly instructors will provide a combination of personalized and group instruction to help overcome fears, teach important skills such as starting and stopping and help them understand how to maneuver their bikes around obstacles. This may be the only lesson they will need! Our fun, unique and proven instruction methods have helped hundreds of kids experience the joy of riding a bike. STUDENTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN BIKES! A properly fitted bike is essential for your child's comfort and safety. They should be able to sit fully on the seat with their feet flat on the ground. If you are able, please remove training wheels prior to the class. Registration fees need to be paid for each child. Accompanying adults do not require payment, but must remain on-site for the duration of the program. Children will learn balance, braking, steering, stopping and starting in a fun interactive class. No discounts or vouchers.

Tony Rodkey from Countryside Fire Protection District will demonstrate how household items cause fires and how the fire triangle is connected to everyday life. The presentation reinforces the proper use of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and discusses heat sources in your home, and burn prevention. Class includes hands-on fire extinguisher training. Come learn basic navigation skills using a map and compass to find your way. In this class you'll learn the parts of a compass, how to read a topographic map and how to use them in tandem. Learn how to pinpoint your location through triangulation and then navigate to new locations by following a bearing. No discounts or vouchers.

Mind Mapping

Mind Mapping is exactly that; mapping your thoughts for solutions. Anyone of any age who thinks about anything that they want a result from will benefit from mind mapping. It is easy and all about you. Can you tap into your sub-conscious? The more you use it the more powerful it becomes. The first part of the evening will cover the principles and mechanics of Mind Mapping. After that we will discuss how to develop content that pertains to you. Join us for this interesting and intriguing class. You will be taking home at least one Mind Map you create. It is easy, fun and most importantly a useful discipline for your life. All materials will be supplied. For ages 10 to adult, but anyone under 16 must attend with a parent. Gold Star Fee: $16.00.
