The camp will help boys entering 7th–12th grade master the fundamentals of running, build Aerobic power, and improve upon proper mechanics. Each athlete will gain valuable training and experience in cross-country running. Participants will also have an opportunity to make and deepen friendships through fun activities and team building experiences.Vernon Hills High School offers excellent facilities and an ideal location for a running camp.  An 8-lane state-of-the-art track and proximity to the Des Plaines River trail provide ideal training surfaces. Please check the VHHS Athletic website for final camp locations. If camp is cancelled due to bad weather, parents and campers will be notifed via text message.

Cross country camp is designed to develop and improve distance running and endurance. This is a great way to get a solid base of mileage prior to the start of the fall season. We welcome runners of all levels. Daily runs will take us off campus due to the nature of our sport. Please bring water to every practice. If you have a stopwatch (wristwatch), please bring that as well. Camp will be structured in two sessions. Sign up for one or both. No camp the week of July 2. Meet in the foyer if raining. Football skills, physical development and agility are emphasized to help prepare athletes for the rigors of high school football. All players are encouraged to attend so that they get a head-start on the upcoming season. Players will be introduced to offensive, defensive and special teams schematics while developing their physical football skills.  8th and 9th graders will meet in the VHHS stadium at 3:15 PM the first day of camp where attendance will be taken at the practice field for all grade levels. This camp meets in one three-week session. Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt. In case of inclement weather, please check Twitter and search for footballvh. The camp will be for the beginner as well as the experienced player. The beginner will learn the basic skills to play lacrosse in hgih school from ground ball controal, passing, catching and rules of the game to mention just a few. f numbers allow, these new players will continue addiing to their knowledge of the game and improving on their skill on defense and offense. these players will have weely games vs CSL teams here at VHHS or away at our confernece opponents. All players will be eligible to play in at least one of the two tournaments that the camp will play in. The first torounament is in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; the second is a t home in Vernon Hills in the Pipe City Tournament. Each tournament allos a 25 player roster maximum. Camp staff will use two methods to contact parents if camp will be cancelled. First we will be sending emails to the parents and players with cancellation notices. Second method will be completed by posing a notice via the announcement page on the team's school web page for everyone to view online. We may send texts if parents give permission for us to send to the players and parents.

Summer soccer camp is open to 7th-12th graders of all skill levels. This soccer camp will promote fundamentals, develop team concepts and aid in individual skill development. Camp will include components of speed/agility, technical and tactical concepts. All participants will receive a camp T-shirt. If it looks like rain or is raining, we will still have camp. Meet the coach in the stadium parking lot for further direction. Any cancellations or changes will be put on the Cougar Hotline: 847.932.2402. Players are required to bring an inflated soccer ball, outdoor cleats, running shoes and shin guards as well as plenty of water each day. Call Coach McCaulou with questions. Designed for athletes or students who are interested in Weight and Speed Training over the summer months. This camp will allow participants to continue lifting on the 4-day a week cycle as used by all Physical Education courses taught here at VHHS.
