Are you looking for some new and easy dessert recipes?  These desserts are made using some prepackaged ingredients like brownie mix, cake mix, and pudding.  Katie will share her secrets with you as she prepares her most requested recipes and shows you how to make them look completely homemade. You will receive all of the recipes and sample each dessert for yourself. $10 food fee is included in the tuition. Gold Star Fee: $34.50.

Chefs and serious cooks spend countless hours slicing, dicing, mincing, and chopping. Learning to perform these tasks safely and efficiently is an essential part of cooking. This class will teach you the proper way to handle and use the most important piece of equipment in your kitchen - your knife. You will learn the basic cuts including dice, julienne and mince, by practicing on fruits and vegetables. Then we will sample some soup that Daniel has prepared with the same vegetables. We will also discuss knife safety, care, honing, sharpening, and making a knife purchase. This class is for adults ages 18 and up only. Please bring a chef's knife, a paring knife, and a vegetable peeler. A limited number of knives will be available for use during class. Please wear closed toe shoes. Class will start on time so please arrive 10 minutes before class begins. The food supply fee is included in the tuition. Gold Star Fee: $34.50.

Join me for a demonstration of how to make the most of seasonal vegetables. Fermentation is a way to enhance flavor, preserve vegetables and even conserve, when you ferment scraps that might otherwise go to waste. Marcy firmly believes the process of vegetable fermentation is a basic cooking skill every home cook and restaurant chef should master! Tea 101

Not all tea is the same. Tea comes in many varieties and is grown in many countries. This class will teach the art of brewing tea in all its forms from black to green to white to herbal. We will discuss the history of tea drinking and sample the various types so participants can gain a greater understanding of the diversity of flavors and how they are created. When you finish you will know a Darjeeling from a Lapsang Souchong and how Earl Grey is made. Material fee of $2.00 is included in the tuition. Gold Star Fee: $20.
