For all ages, to learn skills and techniques of radio for communication with other "hams," self-directed learning and personal enjoyment. Learn basic theory, regulations, equipment operation, competitive contests and public service activities. Students should plan for 1 - 2 hours of homework each week. We recommend  that pre-high school students be accompanied by an adult or monitored. Take the FCC Technician license exam for an additional $15 paid to the instructor. $25 textbook and chart fee is included in the tuition. Gold Card Fee: $92.50.

Plan to include some American Indian plants in your garden this year by exploring the various plants of Native origin that have healing, food, and religious benefits; their uses, growing habits and other details in this combination slide and hands-on program. We focus on the plants of Midwestern Native groups such as the Annishnabe (Ojibwa), HO-Chunk (Winnebago) and others who have a tradition of planting and gathering in the upper Midwest. This basic archery class will teach participants how to shoot or improve their skills. The class is taught by a certified archery instructor. All equipment is provided. Classes are held outdoors (weather permitting) and no previous experience is required. In order to preserve the safety of the participant-to-staff ratio and the quality of the classes, PREP does not provide for or allow make-up classes. B-Con/Bleeding Control is the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians' program to educate the general public on controlling life threatening bleeding. The goal of this course is to give the student the knowledge and skill necessary to be confident in extreme emergency situations. Through lecture and hands-on practical applications the student will learn to stop life threatening bleeding with tourniquets and bandages. A $25 material fee is included in the tuition.
