B-Con/Bleeding Control is the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians' program to educate the general public on controlling life threatening bleeding. The goal of this course is to give the student the knowledge and skill necessary to be confident in extreme emergency situations. Through lecture and hands-on practical applications the student will learn to stop life threatening bleeding with tourniquets and bandages. A $25 material fee is included in the tuition. SQL (Structured Query Language) is used to retrieve, analyze, and manage data stored in relational databases. No experience with databases is necessary, as we’ll go over the basic concepts you’ll need to understand the data we’re working with and what we’re accomplishing with our SQL statements. While there are many environments where SQL can be used, most of our time will be spent implementing our SQL statements within a Microsoft Access environment. In this class you will learn about food, shopping, taking the train, visiting museums, getting a taxi, and much, much more. Just a few of the things we will cover include: how, what and when to order food in a restaurant or café and when to pay your dinner bill; and what to wear and not to wear, and why fashion is so important in Italy. You will also learn some useful basic Italian words and expressions that will help you communicate easier and understand signs.
