Sometimes everyone needs a little kick in the pants for inspiration! If your camera work could use a fresh dose of enthusiasm, let professional photographers Mike Caplan and John Petrovic give you that creative nudge. In this 5-week class, Mike and John will show you how to maximize camera skills you may already have to produce more striking images. There will be at least one workshop in the field, along with classroom exercises and image critiques. Your instructors’ zeal is contagious. You will be motivated for excellence and enjoy newfound or rediscovered passion for this art form. Disciplines taught will include close-up/macro, portraiture, light painting, landscape and food photography. The breadth of skills you will learn will cross over into whatever specialty you like best. Prerequisite: fundamental knowledge of your camera controls including how to adjust aperture, shutter speed, ISO, WB, and focusing. One session will be held on a Saturday at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Gold Card Fee: $143.
