Advanced Marine Navigation (formerly Advanced Piloting) is the second in the sequence of the U. S. Power Squadron's courses in navigation. It continues to build on coastal and inland navigation skills, allowing the students to take on more challenging conditions - unfamiliar waters, limited visibility, and extended virtual cruises. GPS is embraced as a primary navigation tool while adding radar, chart plotters, and other electronic navigation tools. As with Marine Navigation (formerly Piloting), the course includes many in-class exercises, advancing the student's skills through hands-on practice and learning. A $9 fee will be required at time of registration. Course fee for members of USPS is $82 or $62 if you already have "Weekend Navigator" while the fee for non-members is $96 which includes a one year membership in the USPS. Course fee indicated above will be collected the first class session. Contact Brian Markey at email@example.com for additional course details. No discounts or vouchers.
