Boat Handling Live Online

This course is presented by America's Boating Club of Waukegan; Power Squadron under the auspices of the U. S. Power Squadrons. The class will consist of 6 sessions covering the following topics: 1) Rules of the Road - A Practical Approach, 2) Confidence in Docking and Undocking - Slow Speed Maneuvering, 3) Boating with Confidence - Handling Your Boat Underway, 4) Anchoring with Assurance - Don't Get Carried Away, 5) Emergencies on Board - Preparation for Handling Common Problems, 6) Knots and Line Handling - The Knots You Need to Know followed by a final examination at the last session. A $9 fee will be required at the time of registration. The course material fee for members of the U. S. Power Squadrons is $68 paid at the first class session. The course materials fee for non-members is $96 which includes a one year membership, also paid at the first class session. Course materials will be provided in "ebook" format.
